Dave Trout Charity Golf Tournament on March 23, 2013 Benefits ICAN Youth

Dave Trout Charities have ties with ICAN, including their sponsorship of the Dave Trout Charities Art Room. The funds raised from the golf tournament go toward supporting youth arts programs; but the Dave Trout Art Room is more than just drawing and painting, it’s an opportunity for youth to express themselves and experiment with unique art concepts they would normally need to pay for to experience.

The ICAN Arts Program gives youth access to artistic tools that they normally wouldn’t be able to use. There is also an art history lesson incorporated into the daily art activities about famous and respected artists like van Gogh and their well-known paintings, while youth are also given the opportunity to do their own interpretations. The youth are also exposed to art skill-sets such as still-life, transferring, canvas, and stencils. The Dave Trout Charity Golf Tournament helps make this possible for the at-risk population we serve.
